Money is the footprint of human consciousness. A few facts show
how out of balance our level of spiritual awareness has become:
In 2008, we entered an economic crisis that caused many of us to
lose our retirements, our homes, or even our jobs. It is as if
someone is saying "Do I have your attention?” Sometimes pain like
this is the only thing forcing us to stop and ask for help, to be willing
to try something new, to admit we don't know it all. Some of us will
see the economic crisis as a wall blocking us from our spiritual
connection. Others will recognize it as a bridge leading us to a
greater reliance upon the Source of true abundance.
The ancient Mayan calendar tracks levels of consciousness from
16.4 billion years ago, when scientific research says the Universe
began. It describes how evolution occurs through nine cycles. Each
cycle has a new development in evolution, such as mammals, which
was created by a new, more advanced consciousness, or spiritual
awareness.
The most recent Cycle started in 1755, The prevailing
Consciousness was Power. It gave governments the ability to back
the value of coinage, regardless of its intrinsic weight. Soon paper
money was developed, which was backed by government-owned
gold. Paper money also allowed banks to loan more money than
they had gold in their vaults, knowing that all the owners of paper
money would not redeem it at once. This allowed greater liquidity
and faster growing economies (tracking the faster growing
consciousness). This was done to fund War World II.
This cycle also supported the current imbalance of wealth. Those
who were in sync with Power Consciousness benefited. However, the
new Ethics Consciousness started in 1999. The Mayan Calendar
predicted the financial crash of 2008, which occurred during the
Fifth Night of the new Cycle.
